EVERYWHERE AT ONCE; a few SoleSides words...
Although the album hasn't been released just yet, the people at the SoleSides Messageboards are hyped about Lyrics Born's new album already. This is partly thanks to a short review written by us at SoleSides. Here are a few quotes;
  • "Differences;" Just love the vibe on this
  •  "Cakewalk;" This one not only sounds good, it sums up a lot of what LB/Quannum stands for; And that's working hard day in day out and focus on what you want to achieve.
  • "I like it I Love it"; If "Lady Don't Tek No" was part 1 and "Callin Out" was part 2, than this one is part 3. No further explanation needed. Pure niceness.
  • I Can't Decide"; Gotta love the "pumpin" beat / bass and LB's energy filled MC style over this
other honourable mentiones:
  • Joyo's singing on  "The World is calling"
  • 'un deux trois' on "Hot 2 Deff"
  • The uptempo / almost happy vibe on "Do You Buy It" vs the not so happy subject. Quite a unique contrast.
  • The summer-vibe on 'Rules Were Meant To Be Broken' - which makes it a timeless track (or even the underdog on this album)- we can imagine this one popping up on several summer mixtapes for years to come.
We at SoleSides have to agree with most reviews that are already online; it's a great album. The term 'monumental' comes to mind. Not only because this is a giant step (forward) for Lyrics Born, "Everywhere at once" also sets the norm for a lot of funky/dancy hiphop to come.

Well done, Mr Shimura, Well done...
